dandruff
wicked asked:

i use dandruff shampoos but it only gets rid of dandruff for a while then it comes back. now i think mine got worse because i can actually see it stuck on my scalp and its sooooo itchy and whenever i try to remove it by my nails i can feel that i’m ruining my scalp i’m afraid that the skin on my scalp will get thin.

i always use conditioners and don’t actually rinse it thoroughly because it makes my hair more soft. does it cause dandruff? what can i do to prevent dandruff and still make my fair soft? dandruff shampoos are so strong it sometimes makes my hair fall.

what can i do to prevent dandruff to come back if i get rid of it? where do we actually get this? what doctor do i go to if it gets worst? dermatologist? is my case already worst?

thanks in advance!

dandruff is dry scalp skin which flakes off. it flakes off beacause the skin is dead. so the skin as died because your skin from your scalp maybe too dry not getting enough vitamins or moisture from water or the shampoo and conditioner maybe too strong for your skin.

use head and shoulders. that is the best stuff. conditioners does not cause dandruff.

Dandruff is simply dry scalp, but your case sounds severe. You might have scalp psoriasis. In that case, you should go to the dermatologist for a prescription treatment. You can also try over the counter psoriasis treatment if you want. Either way, you won’t be able to get rid of it, but you can control it.

    Here’s info on the condition.

Scalp psoriasis is very common. In fact, at least half of all people who have psoriasis have it on their scalp. As with psoriasis elsewhere on the body, skin cells grow too quickly on the scalp and cause red lesions covered with scale to appear.

Scalp psoriasis can be very mild, with slight, fine scaling. It can also be very severe with thick, crusted plaques covering the entire scalp, which commonly can cause hair loss. Psoriasis can extend beyond the hairline onto the forehead, the back of the neck and around the ears (a common area). Most of the time, people with scalp psoriasis have psoriasis on other parts of their body as well. But for some, the scalp is the only affected area.

    Good luck!

i used to get a dry scalp but i switched to using baby shampoo and do not suffer from it anymore as it is mild and does not irritate your scalp

thats it! your not rinsing off the conditioner.. there are different types of conditioner. some must be rinse and others are not required to be rinse(leave-on conditioner)… putting some oil with vitamin e in the SCALP will do the work. i think s0….u

Dandruff is caused b’coz of rough handling of hair….. bad diet, sun exposure, conditioners….(if not applied properly)…. and mainly lackof water and proper diet….
It can b cured only by making a routine in ur life… and increasing intake of nutritious diet and tons of water… DONT NOT USE CONDITIONER… sply … u dont know how to use them …. conditoners are never applied on the scalp… thy should b used on hair body … NEVER on scalp…. it makes the hair fall…. so no to CONDITIONERS….
use home remedies to make ur hair soft…. use henna with egg (for less hair fall),curd..(as a conditoner)… and tea water… for the softness and smell… and dont use SHAMPOO to wash this away…. apply oil after u dry ur hair after this hair pack…. and then keep it for 24hrs.. wash ur hair with a mild shampoo… if possible herbal shampoo…. which suits ur hair texture… i will suggest u a MILD SHAMPOO…. and dont apply it in big quantity …. try using less shampoo… and keep it open to dry dont USE A DRYER… it makes hair brittle….dont even brush wet hair….. never do anything with ur wet hair…. b’coz wet hair are brittle…. and then let it try naturally….
try not to expose ur hair to sun directly… use a bandana or a hat or a cap…. dont tie ur hair for long in a knot…. it makes hair fall…. and always sleep with ur hair amde up in a plate… if long otherwise .. a pony tail….and oil ur hair every 3rd day… and wash it.. with a mild shampoo….. if u r very much disturbed coz of dandruff use NIZORAL its a shampoo…. available in all chemist shops…. ue it and in 2 weeks u will c a difference…dont use conditioners… for some time… and no to chemicals of any type… Best of Luck.. i hope this all information is helpful to u …. Take Care of ur hair.. thts the only asset a Woman has….

Try to avoid hair driers (hot air makes the scalp produce dandruff), try to dry your hair with a towel, wait until the hair is almost dry and then finish the operation with an hair drier (no hot air)…
Mix the shampoo with some water in a glass before putting it on your head, this makes the shampoo softer and more delicate on the scalp and hair. Avoid too much hot water when you wash your hair…and to make hair softer even without hair-driers, use specific oils for hair (silk oil, or nut oil for example; you can ask for them in a qualified hairdresser’s shop) but use just a few drops of it, ’cause it makes hair “fatter”, so don’t put it on the scalp but just on hair.
Avoid hair-colors for a while…or use just natural products (like henne).
Try not to wash your hair too many times in a week…i had the same problem with dandruff, and things got better when i realised i was washing my hair too much.Let pass at least 3 days before washing…
And then, food: fat food sometimes can cause dandruff, together with stress and anxiety. Try to eat more vegetables and fruit, and relax…this is not a “cure” so to speak but it helps, i assure you.
If none of these tips work, i suggest to go to the dermatologist.
Good luck…and don’t touch your hair too much!

Not rinsing throughly could be part of the problem – if it’s not a leave in type conditioner you should always rinse it completly – but this sounds to me like something a docter should look at – go visit a dermotologist – do you suffer from dry itchy skin anywere else, arms, back, legs – do you live in the country on well water or in town on city utilities – you could be having an allergic reaction to something or it could be psoriasis or some other skin disorder – see a dermotologist!
